The National Trust have appointed Ice House Design to concept, design, produce and install the comprehensive interpretation project at one of the great castles in Britain. Ice House Design won the 5 way pitch and were appointed in January on the strength of their proposition and previous work with the trust. Interpretation will be phased in through Spring and Summer 2010 with the brief of improving visitor experience and bringing Corfe Castle to life.

Ice House Design have been selected by the National Trust as the agency to produce the forthcoming exhibition about the life of Sir Richard Colt Hoare at Stourhead this spring. Part of the show will be in the main house and it is likely that there will be further installations in the dedicated exhibition space in the basement of the house.

Richard Colt Hoare was a hugely influential person not only in terms of the history of Stourhead but also for his contributions to archaeology, fine art, literature, local history, architecture and, not least, pelargoniums. This will be a fascinating show about a man who was given the family estate of Stourhead in exchange for leaving the job he adored at the famous Hoares bank.
